Open space
Have you ever attended interesting talk and just before you managed to asked a question speakers time ran out? Have you ever gave a talk and felt it had too short time constraint?
Don’t worry! We’ll provide an open-space track for both of you. Open-space track will have no speakers pre-assigned. Want to speak and have a group of listeners? Register just like for a lightning talk on a flipchart and have separate room with seats and whiteboard for chatting and presenting. Want to promote a project of yours? No problem. Just let others use this room too! Open-space will happen in paralell to our main-track.
Let us know what do you think about it!

Fights
This is the most exciting proposal we have for you. Fights will be special talks where selected speakers will compete on a chosen topic connected to their interests. We will ask them quesions, they will try to convince you to their visions. Of course we won’t make these fights one-sided! You decide who wins.
We ask our speakers if they want to take part in a fight. Have an idea? CFP is still open, but only till the end of January!
What fights would you like to see? Cucumber vs. Steak? Cloud vs. Dedicated Servers? Node.js vs Eventmachine ?

Lightning talks
I guess most of you are already familiar with the idea of lightning talks. For those who aren’t this is a concept of short talks (usually 5min long) happening one after another in a session. For a speaker it’s a good opportunity to show what you’re working on or maybe hold a public rant and start a new drama.
For me, being an attendant, this is a whirlwind tour of what community is up to. Some talks may inspire me greatly, some may be just boring - but still I lost only 5 minutes to find out. And what makes them more interesting - they’re often spontaneous and full of insider jokes :)
We plan to have 1h session of lightning talks each day to get your mind some food for thought. Don’t worry, there’ll be a big flipchart to register for these sessions and see what’s going on.
